We often think that God exists to make our dreams come true; the reality is that we have been created to fulfill His purposes.... and that is to prevent as many people from going to Hell as possible.

Herod the Great.

Herod, king of Judea (part of Palestine): What do we know about the famed king who has been accused through the ages of slaughtering 'all male children, two years and younger'? What would have driven a grown man to send soldiers to commit such an atrocity? What could have been his mental profile? If he chose to use his position of power to kill without remorse, could he have done it before? If so, whom else did he kill? How many could he have killed?Herod is hardly remembered for the great building projects he had undertaken, his hippodromes, his amphitheaters, his great harbor on shores of the Mediterranean Sea, which till today is considered an engineering marvel of his days...How did the mind of someone capable of creating such beauty and yet also so much bloodshed in his own family, work?

Journey's start.

I can’t begin to tell how God’s hand has been on the project from the very first day. If in the beginning (1994) I had thought I was doing it because God had asked me to write this book, looking back, I realize God was doing me a HUGE favour as writing this book turned out be an anchor in a very stormy phase of my life. It kept me sane, it kept me company, it gave me roots and an identity when nothing else made any sense around me.
Four years later, the first draft was ready and it collected dust for another decade (2008) before the title was revealed and the quest of publishers began. It was a learning journey as I ventured into a completely alien field, almost blindfolded, and feeling very much alone – or so I thought. Again, I see His foot prints on the sand. Today, I cant believe I have reached Journey’s End… or it is just the beginning for another?”

In a Bubble of Time

Set in ancient times, where the intrigues and plots of Judean(Palestinian) royalty and clergy throw a nation already under the Roman yoke, into near self destruction this epic book tells the story of two women - Joanna and Deborah whose lives, caught up in the political upheaval of the time, run parallel till they meet in a bubble of time, a time when history turned on it's head.
Joanna, a conservative and traditional, from the lowly village of Emmaus, Judea; he, a court official who buys her from the market to save her from a life od slavery and introduces her to the royal court of Herod.
Deborah, fiery and outspoken, comfortable in her birth right as the upper caste of Jewish society: he, a Roman Centurion stationed at the cosmopolitan port of Ceasarea, Palestine where Romans, Greeks and Jews  co exist in an uneasy harmony.
Sometimes, fiction is needed to bring fact to life. In the pages of this book, history is brought to life through the lives of these fictional women of substance and the irresistible charisma of one man who met them to paint a timeless story of love in those fickle, uncertain times.
